Examples of supports

Audit of the organisation of work around fatigue risk management

Elements analysed
  • Procedures and reference documents for the management of fatigue-related risks within the organisation (e.g. procedures for monitoring events/accidents, feedback system, etc.)
  • Levels of safety culture maturity among the different categories of employees in the company
  • Organisational charts of dedicated resources
Methodology
  • Audit of your organisation and procedures by carrying out an analysis of existing documents and a series of interviews with key contributors in your organisation (« gap analysis »)
  • Quantitative study (smartphone or web) on safety culture and fatigue risk based on a scientific methodology.
Deliverables
  • Audit of the approaches and processes put in place by the company concerning the management and prevention of risks associated with staff fatigue (working hours, workload, organisational factors).
  • Results of the quantitative study on safety culture and perception of fatigue risk among employees: statistical analyses and modelling of the main risk factors, based on data collected in the field
  • Recommendations on the implementation of measures to improve your fatigue risk management system (incident follow-up procedures, employee feedback process, …)

Analysis of work schedules and work rhythms

Elements analysed

The components of your organisation’s schedules :

  • length of shifts
  • break time
  • sequence of shifts
  • start times of shifts

Depending on the variability of your company’s schedules, we conduct an analysis over periods ranging from a few weeks to several months.

Methodology
  • Based on our experience with different industries we have developed our own methodology for analysing schedules
  • Quantitative analysis of schedules over a long period
  • Qualitative analysis of critical periods by our consultants
  • Analysis of the procedures and methodology used for the construction of schedules (rules, prioritisation, organisation, software, etc.)
Deliverables
  • Highlighting shifts and shift sequences in schedules that generate fatigue
  • Identification of organisational factors that contribute to a significant level of risk associated with fatigue
  • Audit of planning methods
  • Recommendations for improving the construction of schedules and a list of the main schedule-related contributing factors that have an impact on employee fatigue

Assessment of employee stress and fatigue

Elements analysed
  • Declarative data: daily data collection on working hours and activity, sleep diaries of your employees with the TimeWiks mobile application
  • Depending on the objectives of the study we can also collect objective data on sleep using dedicated devices (actimetry)
  • We also collect individual information on the profile of your employees, while respecting the confidentiality of the data
Methodology
  • We have developed the Welbees Analytics tool to digitise and automate data collection from your employees. Our application is based on extensive work in partnership with our clients and UX (User Experience) experts to ensure ease of use for employees
  • We use machine learning algorithms to model the collected data and provide an accurate explanation of fatigue risk to better predict it!
  • Our algorithms are adapted to the data of each company’s employees, which allows us to assess the specific risk factors as close as possible to your activity
Deliverables
  • Assessment of employee stress and fatigue
  • Recommendations and implementation of measures for the individual and organisational management of the risk of fatigue (naps, breaks, working hours, workload…)
  • Communication elements for employees
  • Training and raising of the awareness of managers and employees
